I gained a First Class Honours Degree in Language Studies (French and Spanish) from the Open University before going on to complete an MA in Translation Studies at the University of Exeter, both whilst working full time. I am a member of the ITI and am committed to continued professional development and upholding the highest of standards. I am the Membership Secretary of the ITI Western Group and have an Enhanced DBS Certificate. I am also proud to translate on a regular basis for organisations including the United Nations Volunteers Programme and Proz.com Pro Bono. 

When I am not working I enjoy running in the beautiful Somerset countryside with my chocolate labrador, Nutmeg.  I am also mum to twins and stepmum to three, and have recently become the very proud grandparent to baby Luca. I am  a keen baker but am not quite at the 'Great British Bakeoff' standard yet and I also volunteer as a School Reader at a local primary school, giving children the opportunity to read aloud to an adult. I have recently taken up studying German again after first learning it at school and in the future I hope to add this to the repertoire of languages that I translate from.
